Aspirin® wants you to take the following tips into account:

Prevention and Wellbeing

Learning to protect your spine from certain efforts. If you get used to leveraging your body strength, it will help you enjoy our daily activities more and protect your spine. Martha loves to lift her kids, but if she does it carelessly, her body will eventually ache and she may hurt her back. In order to avoid these sorts of problems, Martha has learned to bend her knees, to get closer and to lift heavy objects with her leg muscles rather than bending at her waist. In that way, Martha protects her lumbar spine and its spinal discs.

Respiratory muscles are important for good posture. In order to be able to run along the beach easily, you need to have good posture and a strong and reliable respiratory system. Respiratory (chest and upper back area) muscles are essential to good posture. Breathing exercises are essential, not only to develop our lung capacity, but also to improve our posture, making our spine stronger and more flexible. Frequently taking deep, cleansing breaths is a simple and pleasant way to improve your posture.

Maintaining an ideal weight helps your spine. Having a healthy back, allowing you to enjoy everyday activities as well as outdoor vacations, is the result of teamwork among healthy muscles, bones, joints and nerves. Being overweight jeopardizes such teamwork by adding extra strain to your frame all day long. Indeed, being overweight is related to increased risk of developing herniated spinal discs and other back-pain causing problems. Keeping a suitable weight for your body type, age and gender will allow you to count on your body when it is time to enjoy your favorite activities.

Giving your back adequate rest at night. To prevent lumbar pain, the best position to sleep in is on your side with curled-up knees. Martha should put a pillow under her head to support her neck. She can also sleep with a pillow between her knees. If she likes to sleep on her back, she can put some pillows under her knees and a small pillow under the lower back to relieve and prevent pain. It is not advisable to sleep face down unless you put a pillow under your hips. A firm mattress also plays a big part in supporting the lumbar region.

A massage or a hot bath. Something as simple as a hot bath or as luxurious as a massage can help alleviate back pain. Martha’s back could really benefit from gentle massage or a hot bath in the afternoon after a day of activity at the beach. It has been proven that both these remedies lessen muscle strain and joint pain.

NOTE:These recommendations can be followed by any person who might suffer from back pains.
